Suzanne Ghuzzi has always been passionate about art and biology. She wanted to make a career of helping others visually understand the biological complexity of the human body.

For undergraduate studies, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Arts, Illustration with a minor in Biology. Suzanne then went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Biomedical Communications at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Suzanne is currently working on her thesis projects, "Neonatal Resuscitation: Interactive Flash Cards for Pediatric Health Professionals." The Adobe Flash© application will test pediatric residents' knowledge and critical thinking skills as applied to the American Heart Association's Neonatal Resuscitation Program. She was awarded a Vesalius Trust Research Grant by the Association of Medical Illustrators for the research and development of the project. The program will be complete in August 2010.
